過去在大滿貫女雙成績輝煌的威廉絲姊妹，繼2018年後再度合體，但兩人2日在美網女雙首輪，遭哈爾德卡與諾斯科娃這個捷克組合以直落二拍落，無緣晉級。

法新社報導，外界預料這場美國網球公開賽的女子雙打賽事，將是大、小威廉絲（Serena and Venus Williams）最後一次在大滿貫賽事合拍，她們今天被哈爾德卡（Lucie Hradecka）與諾斯科娃（Linda Noskova）的組合，以7：6（7：5）、6：4擊敗後慘遭淘汰。

大、小威廉絲曾攜手拿下14座大滿貫冠軍、3枚奧運金牌，但自2018年的法國公開賽後，就沒有搭檔參加過任何的雙打賽事。

不過，就在小威廉絲暗示將在美網後「逐漸遠離」網球的幾週後，她們獲得一張能參加今年美網女雙的外卡。

小威廉絲8月31日在高潮迭起的比賽過程，秉持永不放棄的精神，在美網女單闖進第3輪，也讓艾許球場（Arthur Ashe Stadium Court）的忠實球迷，在充滿戲劇性的比賽中看得如癡如醉。

今天比賽現場的氣氛更加溫馨，因為威廉絲姊妹這晚一起站上球場奮戰。

小威廉絲延續她本週在單打的活躍與氣勢，但姊姊大威廉絲仍在這場對捷克組合的比賽中找尋她的最佳狀態。

雙方在這場比賽的首盤陷入拉鋸戰，威廉絲姊妹在歷經搶七大戰後，不幸丟掉首盤。

捷克組合則延續首盤氣勢，在次盤早早破了威廉絲姊妹的發球局，很快取得4：1領先，並看到勝利的契機。

但威廉絲姊妹不願就此投降，在保住自己的發球局後破發成功，之後再保住一次發球局，扳成4：4平手。

但捷克組合隨即1保、1破連拿兩局，以6：4鎖定勝利。

這場比賽後，小威廉絲9月2日將在女單第3輪面對澳洲女將托米揚諾維奇（Ajla Tomljanovic），盼能持續挺進。
